Program Specialist II - DPSS

Description

The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) seeks a Program Specialist II who will be assigned to their Program Technology unit in Riverside. This position currently offers telecommuting options, telecommuting options are subject to business needs and are not guaranteed.

The role of the Program Technology (PT) unit is to manage state systems used by DPSS. The PT unit works with CalSAWS, EBT, CalHEERS and other state-run applications and programs.

The selected candidate will work across DPSS divisions to represent DPSS in state, county, community, and other meetings as necessary. The Programs Specialist II will also be tasked with security administration, communications and planning for new systems. Additionally, the incumbent will assist the Senior Program Specialists by taking on less complex projects and assignments.

Competitive candidates will possess knowledge and experience in DPSS business practices, county priorities and program needs. The department also desires candidates with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
